FTC CAN-SPAM ActFollow the rules for complete success
You need to be aware of the “FTC CAN-SPAM ACT”
A Compliance Guide for Business
Please go to this website and familiarize yourself with the FTC CAN-SPAM ACT rules:
As your hosting service provider, on your account we added these rules :
“To,” “Reply-To,” and routing information, valid physical postal address, clear, conspicuous explanation of how the recipient can opt out, in the footer.
However, as a business owner you need to understand the “FTC CAN-SPAM ACT“ rules and follow them:
Don’t use deceptive subject lines. The subject line must accurately reflect the content of the message.
Identify the message as an ad. The law gives you a lot of leeway in how to do this, but you must disclose clearly and conspicuously that your message is an advertisement.
Honor opt-out requests promptly. Users can opt out on their own, however, if they choose to email you, it is your responsibility to remove them and do not add them back later without their permission.
If you want Orlando List Wizard to remove your users we need a signed maintenance agreement with a monthly or yearly fee arrangement. Please see non-subscription services on this page: Orlando Web Wizard Non-subscription Services
Monitor what others are doing on your behalf. Monitor your employees and if you hire another company to handle your email marketing have them sign a privacy agreement.
Orlando List Wizard’s policy is no sexually explicit email messages. We will shut the list down immediately if we find any sexually explicit email going out from the Orlando List Wizard”s mail server. Sending sexually explicit messages to minors is criminal activity and will be reported to the authorities.
If you have any questions please call during business hours Monday – Friday from 9AM – 5PM EST.
